AdrenaLinn I, II and III Hardware Differences
There are 3 AdrenaLinn models: AdrenaLinn, AdrenaLinn II and AdrenaLinn III. The hardware for all models is nearly identical, containing a single circuit board with all components, mounted in a metal chassis with an adhesive front panel label. The different models are:
Serial numbers A00001 to A02199:
These units were originally released as “AdrenaLinn” (original model) units and have a circuit board without headphone jack and an indigo blue chassis without a headphone jack hole. Many of these units have been converted to AdrenaLinn II or AdrenaLinn III by with our “AdrenaLinn II (or III) Upgrade Kit”, consisting of 2 new socketed software chips for the circuit board and a new indigo blue adhesive front panel label.
Serial numbers A02200 to A05722:
These units were originally released as “AdrenaLinn” (original model) units and have a circuit board with headphone jack and an indigo blue chassis containing a hole for the headphone jack. Many of these units have been converted to AdrenaLinn II or AdrenaLinn III by with our “AdrenaLinn II (or III) Upgrade Kit”, consisting of 2 new socketed chips and a new indigo blue adhesive front panel label.
Serial numbers A05723 to approximately A08250:
These units were originally released as “AdrenaLinn II” and have the same circuit board with headphone jack as serial numbers A02200 to A05722 but with a black chassis containing a hole for the headphone jack. However, many of these units have been converted to AdrenaLinn III by our “AdrenaLinn III Upgrade Kit”, consisting of 2 new socketed software chips and a new adhesive front panel label.
Serial numbers from approximately A08250 and above:
These are “AdrenaLinn III” units and have the same circuit board with headphone jack and black chassis with a hole for the headphone jack as serial numbers A05723 to approximately A08250. The only difference is the 2 socketed software chips and adhesive light blue front panel label.
In summary, there are only 2 revisions of the single circuit board:
1) Original circuit board without headphone jack.
2) Revised circuit board with headphone jack
Other than the headphone jack and minor differences to the input preamp, they are identical.
