Trovatore, a duo consisting of Bruce Zweig on piano and Roger Linn on mandolin, performs traditional Italian songs every 1st and 3rd Monday nights of the month (and the 5th if there is one) from 7 to 9 p.m. at Caffe Trieste in Berkeley at 2500 San Pablo Ave. Here are a couple of examples of our music:
We first started playing together around 1999 at the original Caffe Trieste in North Beach, and played there for 5 years. Here's a photo of us at the North Beach location:
In addition, we've played at various events and fundraisers around the bay area, including swanky places like the St. Francis on Union Square and ostentatious homes where rich people have spent huge sums of money in order to pretend they're living in a villa in Tuscany.
