I've been impressed with Chris Guichet's "Speedbumpy" alternate playing surface for LinnStrument. To help his efforts, I gave him my engineering files for the stock playing surface, which gave him a better starting point to work from in his design.
This made me wonder if others with engineering skills might have similar ideas for enhancing or personalizing LinnStrument, or even selling alternate parts as Chris did. To help any such efforts, I've posted below engineering files of the following parts for both LinnStrument and LinnStrument 128:
LinnStrument 200, wood sides engineering files.zip
LinnStrument 128, wood sides engineering files.zip
LinnStrument 200, playing surface, engineering files.zip
LinnStrument 128 playing surface, engineering files.zip
LinnStrument 200 top panel, engineering files.zip
LinnStrument 128 top panel, engineering files.zip
LinnStrument 200 chassis bottom, engineering files.zip (for locating screw holes for custom attachments)

What can you do? Here are a few ideas. Click a picture to see the high-resolution view.
1) A white LinnStrument with white top panel and white side pieces...
2) A LinnStrument with burled walnut side pieces...
3) A LinnStrument with curved white maple sides...
4) Your custom synth-- or a holder for an iPad or iPhone as shown here-- that bolts on to the right side...
